	The extent to which individuals and families can control
their own lives depends to some extent on the available technology.
This article is concerned with how present and future technology
can be developed and organized to enhance individualism.

To include:
all izdat is samizdat
building a house
cars
airplanes
computers
personal flying machines
institutions and services that assist the individual
The key point isn't that every individual build everything from scratch.
What is important is that he have effective choice and design capability.

If only one only had to have a good idea.  Inventions and political ideas.

immediate access to the library
are enough people smart enough
We aren't necessarily advocating that the Government do anything; we
are calling attention to opportunities for individuals and companies.

The U.S. is less capital intensive than it was 100 years ago and
much less than the Soviet Union.  Our progress is institution-limited
and invention-limited rather than capital-limited.
